Management Bios

Richard Crookes, Executive Chairman
Richard established Richard Crookes Constructions in 1966. The company was incorporated in 1976 and assumed the existing business. With a hands-on approach that is the hallmark of his management style, Richard is personally involved in the company's day-to-day business.

Jamie Crookes, Managing Director
Jamie is responsible for managing a large team to ensure the performance of every project. As the Managing Director of our company Jamie has a strong commitment to the success of all our projects and is involved in the careful strategic planning and programming of every Richard Crookes Constructions project.  Jamie is also involved in the day-to-day business operation across all departments.

John Hodges, Finance Director
John joined Richard Crookes Constructions in 1988, and has been a director since 1991. He is responsible for the group's financial and accounting functions. John is a CPA and has more than 30 years experience in the construction industry.

David Michel, General Manager - Corporate Development
David is responsible for business growth and development.  He oversees both the construction support division as well as the new business division.  To achieve this David works closely with Jamie.  David is naturally client focused and takes a long-term strategic approach to business.  He is a strong believer in collaboration and champions a fully integrated 'best for project' team approach that values, respects and encourages contribution and ideas from all members and promotes openness and honesty between all parties.

Tony Irving, Estimating Manager
Tony brings to his role 20 years of construction knowledge, providing our clients with value engineering advice and innovative project delivery solutions.

Tony Grippi, Construction Manager (Sydney)
Tony has been with our team since 1993.  With an Honours degree in Civil Engineering he commenced employment as a Site Engineer and worked to become a Project Manager, Project Director and now Construction Manager.  With years of experience on major projects he is now responsible for all Sydney based project teams providing advice and support.

Garry Reynolds, Construction Manager (Northern Division)
Garry has a depth of experience in managing large project teams and delivering major construction projects.  Having joined our company almost 20 years ago, Garry's experience and knowledge has resulted in repeat work for our company.  Garry manages our projects in the the Hunter region.


Richard Crookes Constructions employs 160 personnel. Our company has a pool of experienced and qualified personnel ranging from Project Management, Design Management, Contracts Administration, Site Management, Marketing, Accounting, Occupational Health & Safety, Business Systems, Human Resources, Quality Assurance and Administration staff.
