"This site holds great historical significance in the contribution to Paddington as one of Sydney’s world-renowned and most famous nightlife strips. And with the commencement of construction on this project today, this site will now be transformed into a social hub and a space where global travellers and local guests can meet and form a dynamic and adventurous community.”

Transforming the West Olympia Theatre into a mixed-use destination in Sydney’s CBD – delivering Australia’s first 25hours Hotel under Accor’s brand portfolio. The Olympia includes a five-star 109-key hotel with restaurants, cafés, rooftop bar and wellness centre, alongside three entertainment venues and ground-floor retail.
The building’s original facade was restored to preserve its cinematic elements, with the new structure built around a heritage steel retention system.
Advanced sequencing has been critical to maintaining program in the complex and constrained urban environment. A rigorous traffic management plan – developed with the City of Sydney and Transport for NSW – ensures minimal disruption to surrounding stakeholders.
