The 5,500sqm temperature-controlled warehouse expansion and annex improve Americold’s speed and reliability in product shelf availability. Double-deep, nine-high racking and nine new loading docks add capacity for approximately 13,450 frozen pallets. A battery storage room supports charging and changeover of materials handling batteries.
A polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulated panel building envelope enhances thermal performance and energy efficiency, and a standalone refrigeration system maintains controlled temperatures.
Delivered within a live 24/7 industrial environment, extensive traffic coordination minimised operational disruption during construction. Three new car parks, a heavy vehicle turnaround and 12 trailer spaces improve traffic management through truck and car segregation and enhanced manoeuvrability.
