This state-of-the-art redevelopment delivered a flexible facility to suit the new model of care and future needs of the Central Coast LHD.
Delivered in a live hospital environment, construction of a new Clinical Services Building (CSB) included a new emergency department. Refurbishments of existing facilities included alterations to CSSD packing area and decontamination area, operating theatres, maternity, a mental health unit expansion and pharmacy reconfiguration.
A fully operational hospital was delivered, ready to provide critical care from Day 1. This was made possible through operational prototype rooms built onsite. This allowed key stakeholders to test clinical spaces and provide valuable input into the design finalisation. Meticulous construction sequencing, including staged civil works, ensured successful delivery.
