Major milestone – Sydney Biomedical Accelerator

A major milestone achieved at the Sydney Biomedical Accelerator (SBA) – a first-of-its-kind integrated health, education and biomedical research precinct spanning ~36,000sqm and housing over 1,200 researchers and clinicians.

Tower Crane 1 has been installed, following months of detailed planning and stakeholder consultation. This milestone signals the commencement of the site’s vertical construction phase, enabling the movement of reinforcement, formwork and concrete elements. Tower Crane 2 is scheduled for installation in early 2026.

Once complete, this world-class facility will feature PC2 and PC3 laboratories, a biobank, collaboration areas and training facilities for over 8,000 anatomy students.
