Iglu Kingsford

Delivering more student beds in Sydney’s south

Once complete, Iglu Kingsford will house 285 beds in a purpose-built 20-storey student accommodation tower. Lower levels will include commercial and retail tenancies.

RCC is partnering with Iglu and Bates Smart to lead the construction of the new student accommodation facility, which will accommodate 285 students in a range of studio and shared apartments spread over 20 floors.

A communal landscaped courtyard will be part of the site, which has frontages to Anzac Parade, Strachan Street and Houston Lane.

Since delivering our first student accommodation project in 2011, RCC has delivered over 5,500 beds, with an additional 2,000 beds due for completion in 2024.

Our team of delivery experts have unmatched experience delivering future-focused student accommodation. Our innate appreciation of the end users’ requirements enables us to partner with our clients to deliver facilities that exceed expectations.

Event Sponsor

To thrive in this environment, we need to be collaborators,” said Annabel Lahz, CEO and Director at Lahznimmo Architects.

Proud sponsors of the Australian Institute of Architects 2025 IWD Breakfast, hosted at Walsh Bay Arts Precinct.

Through innovative adaptive re-use, RCC reimagined the iconic Pier 2/3 and Wharf 4/5 as award-winning global arts venues. The restoration of state heritage-listed structures was critical to preserve the maritime essence.

Many thanks to Annabel Lahz and Monica Edwards, Senior Associate – Architecture at SJB, for their engaging discussion on maintaining a vision of equitable, people-centered design in the architectural landscape.
